Seeing the @frameworkcomputer laptop in person, It is a very well built machine. It is *almost* perfect. Sadly, the keyboard just is not good enough. There's just too much wrong with it for my general use of a computer.
It feels like the keyboard was laid out by a graphic designer to *look neat*. That's completely unimportant to me. I want it to *work well*.
If I could make a couple of changes, I would do these (in order of importance)
1) add physical, seperate PgUp/PgDown buttons (look at thinkpads for how that's done)
2) Take the arrow keys and extend them slightly to the bottom (again: look at thinkpads!) this has multiple benefits: the individual keys can obviously be larger. But more importantly, you now have a landmark you can easily find with your thumb without looking down. You now know exactly where the arrow keys are and where the right Ctrl key is. Yes, this is important for me.
3) Group the F-Keys - regular groups of four keys with an ever-so-slight gap between them.
4) I find the flat keys extremely irritating. I might get used to them, but I actually don't want to. On a slightly curved key, I know instinctively where I am on any given key. My fingers auto-center. I find typing on flat keys weird, mostly because I tend to hit keys off-center more often.
5) Physical Pos1/End keys would be nice.
6) I take screenshots all the time (I create a lot of instructions for work), so a dedicated PrtScr button would be nice, but I could get used to Fn+PrtScr. Yes, I use FnLock, why do you ask? I need F keys more often than media keys. The FnLock works well, don't change it 
I want to stress that the rest of the laptop is *excellent* and I'm actually sad that I will be returning mine. I also thought about performing a thinkpad keyboard mod, but I just need a working laptop *now*.

Most of this, except for the straight beam in the first picture, was only dimly if at all visible to the naked eye—my first viewing, around 7:30pm, was better.

“A Bridge too Far” (1977) is a curious case. I love the film, and I think the score is great, but I don’t really like the two together. The score too jaunty and upbeat for what is (for the time) a very gritty war film about an Allied defeat.
What can I say? A lot of you hate trucks!
My little survey showed that most of you do hate trucks. I can understand that. In many countries, trucks just do not fit in. They are too big.
On the other hand, they can be quite practical. For me the idea of an electric truck is quite compelling and I hope they will become popular in the US.
Not sure. A lot of the time I have been driving small cars myself. My first car was an old VW Golf. I drove a Mitsubishi Colt for years. These are great city cars. Easy to park. Nimble. My first EV was an e-Golf.
Other times I like having bigger cars. I had a VW Caravelle. Just great to be able to drive a big group of people. For a while I had a Ford Transit van. With room for 15 people, it was great, but not practical as a daily driver.

Als Antwort auf Claudius • • •I used my laptop for a couple of hours while setting it up, and one of the actions I perform *very often* is switching between browser tabs. (but is also used in many other situations, like code editing).
That's Ctrl+PgUp/PgDown.
On a Thinkpad, that's a one-hand operation, you use your thumb to find the edge of the arrow keys. You now also are in the exact right spot for the Ctrl key. Your index and ring fingers are now exactly where the PgUp/PgDown keys are. This takes a fraction of a second to get right without looking at the keyboard.
This turned into:
Dang, I need the Fn key for PgUp/PgDown, I might as well use the left Ctrl-Key then. This is now a two-hand operation anyway.
It's a papercut, yes. But It's one of the operations I do *probably* hundreds of times on any given day. I don't want hundreds of papercuts.
Also, if you find this ridiculous: That's perfectly reasonable, which is why I'm pointing out that this is an excellent laptop. It the keyboard doesn't bother you, you will get a well-built machine that's repairable and performs excellent.
