A man in Polk County , Florida , who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop, ended up "executing" the deputy who stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. A state-wide manhunt ensued.
The murderer was found hiding in a wooded area. As soon as he took a shot at the SWAT team, officers opened fire on him. They hit the guy 68 times.
Naturally, the liberal media went nuts and asked why they had to shoot the poor, undocumented immigrant 68 times.
Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel: "Because that's all the ammunition we had." Now, is that just about the all-time greatest answer or what!

Als Antwort auf Mark McCaughrean • • •The various timelapse showing the flybys at the Moon & Earth with parts of the JUICE spacecraft in shot are fairly self-explanatory, apart from the section at 00:27-00:33 into the film.
If you look carefully, right at the top of the image, you can see Earth in the distance passing behind the structure – it's backlit & dark, apart from a ring of illuminated atmosphere around it.
Very cool indeed 🙂

Als Antwort auf Mark McCaughrean • • •The image processing was led by @stim3on using a custom pipeline to extract the best colour from the unusual RGYB Bayer array the 1024 x 1024 pixel detectors use.
A lot of work was also needed to remove optical & electronic artefacts from images with different exposures, & keep the timelapse smooth.
We also decided to upscale the images to 2160 x 2160 pixels to make the 4K version of the film – we made tests & think the results are decent, without inventing detail.
