JOE & K SELLING USA's SOVEREIGNTY TO THE GLOBALISTS
American Freedoms Are Guaranteed By The U.S.Constitution
- Not Controlled By Bureaucrats In Foreign Countries -
~~ No American Citizen Signed-up For That ~~

WASHINGTON — The World Health Organization (WHO) is a supranational United Nations agency that is effectively controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), as evidenced, among other things, by the manner in which the WHO’s Director General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, has relentlessly accomplished Beijing’s bidding. That includes advancing the CCP’s interest in bringing about a post-constitutional America and “global governance” dominated by the Party. The CCP’s hegemonic ambitions have no place for a powerful United States of America, human freedom or personal sovereignty.

These factors make it hardly surprising that, in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WHO lied about the nature, origins and effective responses to the Wuhan Virus. It endorsed the “China Model” of lockdowns, masks and vaccine mandates and digital enforcement mechanisms. And the WHO approved the use of expensive and inadequately tested experimental and dangerous gene therapies as “vaccines” and the suppression of readily available, effective and inexpensive treatments. Thanks in part to such misconduct, the pandemic has resulted in the deaths of over a million Americans and many more elsewhere around the world, an untold number of whom perished needlessly.

Given the WHO’s appalling record, it is outrageous that the Biden administration is working to give the WHO and its Director-General more power over sovereign nations, including the United States. Yet, U.S. government officials are actively negotiating amendments to existing International Health Regulations and a new treaty governing future “public health emergencies of international concern (PHEIC).” These accords would effectively repose in Dr. Tedros the authority unilaterally to dictate what constitutes an actual or potential PHEIC and to order how affected nations must respond.

For all these reasons, the Sovereignty Coalition declares that the United States must end its membership in, cease funding of and submitting to the World Health Organization before the WHO is granted the authority effectively to compel compliance with the public health dictates of Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus or any other unelected, unaccountable international bureaucrat.

i personally, dont really feel that bad about it, if it means signs of internal restructuring and focus(which i feel that they need) it might be for the better, they didn't have to shut it down, but its definitely a sign of something happening as #mozzila , so please, if you do read this, keep a open mind and see what happens after the fact

Whats going on in #Wuhan these days? I feel like it must be an interesting city, and now since its international spotlight do to covid I wonder if theres a newly vibrant energy there
Als Antwort auf wakest ⁂

@wakest ⁂ Naively, I would assume that with international spotlight would come increased repression to make the city "look" the best way the CCP wants it to look.

So if one tries to take Sam Altman's statements that we are within 'a Few Thousand Days' of having manufactured 'superintelligence'.

WHILE being as generous as possible.

The only thing one can conclude, is that it's a bit like predicting the peak of the industrial revolution before you've mastered all the basic simple machines. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_m…

We don't have even rudimentary general intelligence yet. We don't have any working theories on how to get to general intelligence from where we are at.

AND I don't think his statements should be taken at face value. And I don't think we should be as generous as possible.

All OpenAI has done since it's founding is scale one novelty, one specific kind of hat trick to increasingly bigger, more expensive and more power hungry datasets and infrastructure.

Als Antwort auf trashHeap

@trashHeap :hehim: :verified_gay: The power of neural network machine learning applied to LLM to make chatbots is that it’s a black box even for its designers, so you can claim absolutely anything about it and nobody can definitely prove you wrong.
Als Antwort auf Hypolite Petovan

@hypolite I suspect even if it were completely dissprovable, it wouldn't matter.

The hype train is self perpetuating because the tech press is desperate for a big new thing; and the tech industry is desperate for a new market to expand into.

No one an investor pays attention to, or the general public pays attention to is interested in being critical.

Als Antwort auf trashHeap

@trashHeap :hehim: :verified_gay: I don't know about that, NFTs and DAOs were sooner figured as a grift, and while there's an ongoing demand for cryptocurrency to obscure state funding to militant groups, blockchain has all but ceased to have consumer applications.

On the other hand, LLM chatbot hype shows no clear signs of abatement even 3 years in, and I'm guessing it's because of the nebulosity of the technology. I still have some hope as the tech is starting to be a repellant for consumer electronics no matter how hard manufacturers are pushing (I'm looking at you, Samsung with your AI-enabled washing machine)

Als Antwort auf Hypolite Petovan

@Hypolite Petovan @trashHeap :hehim: :verified_gay: hell, I'm pro-AI and even I know his claims are bs.

There is something to worry about in that current AI can code and is getting incrementally better, because regardless it means the Singularity is creeping closer and that's what he's ultimately referring to...

Anti-AI folk like to dismiss the current AI as useless, but it's already shown to be very practical in a lot of ways and everyone thought even this level of progress was much further off than it was when ChatGPT came out.

Als Antwort auf Shiri Bailem

@Shiri Bailem @trashHeap :hehim: :verified_gay: Oh I don't deny the technology is useful, just not to the people it purports to be useful to.

The fact it makes it seem like intellectual work could be fungible makes it look incredibly useful for people interested in this fungibility.

I'm aware there are other marginal uses but I believe they aren't worth the current environmental cost that shows absolutely no signs of decrease.

Because, if you use such a map, then humans will finally learn to READ A DAMN MAP and not just some app.

Als Antwort auf 𝕥ℝ𝕠𝕃𝕃𝕚ℕ 𝕜𝕀𝕥𝕥𝔼𝕙

@fuknukl definitely a cool projection. Honestly though the best projection is a globe (sorry flat earthers, you haven't convinced me). Paper maps need to make a comeback too. For practical purposes. Speaking of which. I need to buy a few foldup maps. Already have the globe.
Als Antwort auf Sir Nedwood

@ned @fuknukl haha ok. Got me. But for learning, I'd say it's the best representation of the landmasses and oceans and their relative locations on Earth. Anything else should be useful for traveling from location to location, and will need to fit the use-case. Dymaxian is cool because of the close approximation to an unraveled sphere, but good luck using it to sail or fly from Australia to Argentina. You'd need aeronautical or nautical charts for that.

When the neofascist Farage criticised the RNLI for saving migrants from the English Channel/Manche, like many, I made a donation to support their work.
In this edition of their newsletter there's a moving story from Dover lifeboat about the rescue of 68+19 people from 2 boats on one trip, then coming back across busy shipping lanes with 1 engine broken.
Real heroes.
They rescue anyone without prejudice and rely on voluntary donations.
