I do hope you do not browse on your phone while driving... Not a good idea.
Sometimes we spend time in the car while it is stationary. Having a browser on the big screen is pretty nice then, IMHO.

Als Antwort auf Jon S. von Tetzchner • • •That's only the browser. Changing radio stations, adjusting the temperature, picking an alternative route when traffic is slow are all things that require taking your mind and eyes off the road with a touch screen, a lot more than with physical controls.
Also, the first thing I do when stopped is get out of the car. I hate those cramped things.

Not about restrain. Have you tried to use the touch screen in a car? Generally they stop you from doing certain things when the car is moving. That includes browsing.
This is not new.
Now I believe that more functionality should be moved out of the touchscreens. I think that most every thing you use while driving should not be controlled from the touchscreen.
On the other hand, I see no reason not to be able to use the touchscreen while stationary. Many things can be done better that way.
