I cannot find any documentation for how to install friendica using sqlite driver instead of mysql. I already know how to do the standard installation with mysql but I want to use sqlite instead.
I need help with installing and running via sqlite backend and tips on how to minimize database storage size. Is there any documentation on this? Has anyone done it?

New Windows fuckery: I've set up Windows Update to only get minor and security updates. Until recently it was fine. But now "Windows 11 version 24H2" is available and it really wants to be installed on my computer. Including adding an update icon in the taskbar with a notification badge which I can only "Hide for now". The icon is disabled in the regular settings, and it looks like my last resort is to fiddle with the Windows Registry. Again.

I read @stefan's post on this topic (stefanbohacek.com/blog/custom-…), looked up custom emojis from several instances and saved a bunch (see screenshot).
My question: is it ok to copy custom emojis from other instances and use them on your own? (There doesn't seem to be attribution for it)

One thing I like about the #Fediverse and the larger #DecentralizedSocialMedia space that private companies will never be able to fully replicate is how some people find their own calling inside this environment and share their work with others. Platform and client developers are obvious example of this, but specialized accounts like @Fedi.Tips 🎄 (ran by @FediThing 🏳️🌈 ) is regularly dispensing helpful meta information about the space even though there’s no material incentive for them to do so.
Thanks to them for their continued efforts to bring everybody who is ready to follow them up to speed with the latest and the little known!
